Great question. There are so many ways that it affects our world. In the natural world, we see that ice is melting faster than ever, heatwaves are happening more often, hurricanes are getting stronger, coral reefs are dying, many species are becoming extinct, deserts are expanding and rainforests are suffering from drought (lack of rain).
This also impacts the human world – in the UK we are already seeing wetter winters and more flooding, but also stronger heatwaves. As the ice melts, it causes sea levels to rise and floods coastal or low-lying land. There are already islands in the Pacific ocean where everybody has left because the sea rose too high.
