Question: How many glaciers are left in the world?

There are around 200,000 glaciers on Earth! Most are found in Antarctica and Greenland, but quite a few are found in high mountain areas too (like the Himalayas, where Mount Everest is). We’re loosing glaciers at such a fast rate though. The vast majority of glaciers are getting smaller and smaller. There are only a very small number where they are growing in size.
