      I have no idea I’m afraid, it’s a lot. BUT, trees that are cut down for paper aren’t usually from rain forests or protected woodlands they will be from “managed forests”, which have been planted for that purpose. An interesting fact is that trees take in more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere when they are young (up to about 50/60 years old) and growing quickly than when they are old (older than 60), so by growing trees for 50 years then cutting them down and planting new trees we are actually helping to slow down climate change more than if we just left these woodlands in place.
