There was a big tree study a few years ago, so I know the answer to this one!! Scientists estimate that there are three trillion trees (3,000,000,000,000) – which is 420 trees for every person! In the same study, the scientists estimate that we are taking down 15,000,000,000 trees every year, and planting 5,000,000,000 each year. So many trees! :O

There are around 3 TRILLION TREES in the world! A lot 🙂 it works out at over 400 trees for every human. But before human civilisation and farming came along, the earth had almost twice that many trees. We use a lot of them for materials like paper and wood.

We take toilet paper for granted… but it takes 27,000 trees a day to provide the world with their loo roll!
