My job is a science researcher (PhD student). This means I study how the Earth works! My research focusses on the way that climate change is affecting natural environments – in particular icey regions. We need to understand how they are being impacted, so that we can come up with a good solution to solving the problem. I’m also involved in some of the problem-solving side, and this focusses on communities that live in mountain regions. If too much water is melting from ice in mountain areas, then communities could be flooded. I’m working to setup a system that helps let local governments know if this is going to be the case 🙂
