Question: Where does our home wastewater go ???

It depends where you live, but usually whatever you flush down the toilet goes into a network of pipes and tunnels called sewers. These lead to the wastewater treatment works where the solid stuff is removed and friendly bacteria clean up the water before it is put back into the river or sea. These friendly bacteria are really sensitive so it’s important we are careful what we flush down the loo. Sewage treatment is a really interesting subject (but a bit smelly!)
