      Hello,
      Do you mean why would plants stop fighting germs?
      They always try to fight off infections, but some plants have a stronger immune system than others (and some infections are very strong!) So sometimes the plant will win, and sometimes the infection will win.
      I research the plant immune system – some plants have special genes that make them resistant to a certain disease. I try to find out how these work. If we can figure it out, we can help our crop plants to be stronger!
